Any nerd needs a server room ?

Ok, so here is the deal, i'm a nerd with a BIG _N_, and like any other nerd i need a server room.. but since Malin isent a big fan of cabels i had to opt. for something smaller - yet powerfull enough for my nerdy needs without using a shitload of electricity.

So, the solution was to replace our former power eating windows home server with a Mac Mini with OSX Server (surprisingly good) and for storage, a 2 TB (2000gb) Nas from Netgear.

For a router i had to replace my beloved Apple Airport Extreme with a crap PSTN router from BBB (piece of shit, but one dosent have alot of options)

Since my wife literally hate my cabels (unlike me, the more the better.. or something like that), i had to hide it all... so this is how it ended.



For some strange reason, the former owners desided to make a phone jack.. inside a closet?!?!?.. weird.. but fine by me..

From the closet goes a RJ45 (network cabel) to "office" where we have our laptops (1xMalla, 1xFabian and 2xLeon)), our upstairs media center machine connects to the network using wireless.
