Hey,
You will automatically be moved to my new blog at http://lsb.maleo.se in about 7 secs.
Stay tuned.
So, i got a few complaints that i dont blog enough, well.. fair said, so here comes a status update
Work:
I'v changed job from Startforce (www.startforce.com) to KliKKi (www.klikki.com) wich i must say i like quite alot, the new job is a bigger company with some extremely good people.
KliKKi do SEO/SEM services for companys in Scandinavia, and are some of the best of what they do.
RIght now we have a office in Piteå, Stockholm and Helsinki in Finland.
Private:
Well, as many of you proberly have read on Malins blog (www.monstermalla.se) we got a cute daugther and she is allmost growing by the minut - she is now close to 7 months old and cute like notthing else.
She is cute like notthing but a real little bandit.. looks like her a dad and but a devil like her mom... :D
Now to the nerdy stuff....
In our little home we have a wireless network that have been slow as hell, so i decided todo something about, starting with getting a N-Draft router, for those who dont know the diffrence on wireless routers, then i can quick tell that the typical standard today in "G" wich offers 54mbit wireless, while N offers 380mbit.. aka.. ALOT faster and better coverage.
The router i when with is a Apple Time Capsule (http://www.apple.com/timecapsule/) because it have a build-in harddisk, meaning all computers on the network can share files using the harddisk in the TC.
Doing this simple little change made our network about 20% faster, also giving us faster internet access with less access time and better coverage on the top floor.
To get the full out of our new wireless i bought some N-Draft PCI-e network cards for our laptops, and that made the biggest change, wireless network is now fast enough to realy use - whereas normal G wireless is slow and barely usable for surfing and mail.
.. .. ..
Its saturday today and we just came back from town, i desided earlier this morning to upgrade our Mac Mini that we use as a media center upstairs.
The changes are:
* Going from 1,5gb memory to 3gb
* Going from 200gb harddisk to 320gb
* Going from G Wireless to N Wireless
These minor changes should improve performance by 100% and realy make it fly.
Well.. have a nice weekend our there, and i hope this inspired you to do some weekend-upgrades also.

Hi,
Ok i dont post that offten, but when i do, its allways extremely usefull info.. like Pold jumped out of the closet and announced that he have fallen in love with a mountain goat from Australia.. wich is.. well.. weird.. since they dont have any mountains.. anyway...
Its weekend.. and like any other weekend, i wonder what todo.. offcourse.. i have "the list" of things that i "should" be doing.
* Fix the 2 trillion things that need to be done on the house
* Fix kitchen
* Cleanup garage
* Cut wood
* Start fixing in the basement..
etc.. etc.. etc..
* Get some work done on www.sabas.dk
* Plan next weekends Haloween party?
As the week progress i get all these good ideas about what i need to get done .. but when the weekend comes.. i dont get done shit, instead i feel like a duracell battery who have seen to many rabits in its time.. aka.. tired!
so.. i wonder what this weekend will bring??
On for a bit of status of how life is...

Hi,
Since i quit my job @ www.startforce.com - i'v been working fulltime @ www.GoExcellent.com on the Microsoft support - i have now been accepted to a new job @ www.klikki.com where i will start the 12th. Oct (Malins 30th. birthday btw.. congrats hun)
About Klikki:

Klikki also have office in Piteå where i will be working together with some realy talented people - people i'm looking forward to learn from and work with.
Hi,
Somehow.. i felt like i just had to get it out of my system.
For the last 8-9 days we have had my mom and her comming husband John visiting, and its been both educational, wonderfull and something i have been looking forward to... i live close to 1300 km away from my family, so when i finaly see them - i enjoy it alot.
Their visit this time, was not as i had planed.. i had planed to give them (and ourself) a vacation, but instead, we ended up working (doing a new kitchen.. new hall.. etc.), and i hope.. that they both know how gratefull we are for their help.
Today.. came the day of hell.. well.. at least in my mind.. it was time for them to return to Denmark.
And while it offcourse is nice to be alone, and to be able to pussle around and get those small things done.. i also hate it.. i hate that they had to leave.. that.. hate.. get stuck like a stone in my throat.. it feels like it want to pop-out every time i say something.. i mean.. i'm not a mommys-boy.. but maybe its the part that they live so damn faar away.
Malin is running around outside working her ass of to make the house look good.. and i should go and help her.. but i feel so .. NOT motivated..
Anyone ever had that feeling where they want to lock themself in a dark room and just be in a bad mood ?.. maybe just for an hour or 12 ?
time todo something constructive.. or atleast try...

Hi,
Todays nerd-post is gonna be about something that all women LOVE .. aka.. getting rid of cables in the home.
Today i'm gonna give a bit of advice about "network cabels".
More and more people use wireless networking (wifi) around the house, but wifi still fails when it comes to video streaming.
Also, we are forced to use BBB's piece of shit router, with the wonderfull result that we have less or NO wireless upstairs, the solution is to connect a cable to our network and drag it upstairs, something that gives the correct result, but dosent fall in the wifes liking.
So, the solution was a 1299 kr "devolo 2x HomePlug AV Adapters" from Teknik magasinet.
Lets have a look at it.. shall we?
.. after spending (to much??) money in it, the fund part comes.. the unpacking...
.. and vupti.. 2xadapters, a CD (that, i might add - works for both Linux, Windows and OSX.. GOOOOD STUFF) ..
So, here is howto to it.
1. Buy the set
2. Unpack it (strange as it may sound)
3. Insert the CD into a computer and install the software
4. Plug in the first adapter into the electricity in the wall and attach it to the network
5. Run the software you just installed, it will now detect the first unit
6. Connect the other unit and enter the security ID from the bottom of the second unit into the program.
- wolla -
You are up and running and it works like a charm.
Enjoy!
